this is a example of what im trying to do

FileInstall("C:\WINDOWS\New Folder",

If your trying to make that directory:

Look at DirCreate in the help file

If you are wanting to have your compiled .exe to put a certain file in a certain place then FileInstall is the right tool for you. The help file again explains everything you need for how to use it. (note: it only works after you actually compile the .au3)

file install only installs a file... not a folder AFAIK

example of use

$Sound_bar = @TempDir & "\Sound_bar.wav"
FileInstall("C:\XPClean-web\Settings\XPClean-pics\Sounds\xpinfbar.wav", $Sound_bar)

SoundPlay($Sound_bar)

Maybe try

FileInstall("file you are trying to install", "C:\WINDOWS\New Folder")
