Date Checks

Recommended Posts

I am working on a script to deploy the antivirus updates depending on the date of the file compared against the machine date and time. I know that you could run into problems cause if the date and time on the machine are wrong then you would be all messed up... but besides that point how would you go about doing the check....

:D:huh2:

From the helpfile :

  • @MDAY - Current day of month. Range is 01 to 31
  • @MON - Current month. Range is 01 to 12
  • @YEAR - Current four-digit year
So then you can just compare the date (use the macros listed above)

with the filename of the antivirus update..

Good luck !

if on a network, you can update the clock with Net time.

You can also check, or set the time over the internet.

The syntax of this command is:

NET TIME [\\computername | /DOMAIN[:domainname] | /RTSDOMAIN[:domainname]] [/sET]

[\\computername] /QUERYSNTP

[\\computername] /SETSNTP[:ntp server list]

AutoIt3, the MACGYVER Pocket Knife for computers.
