Creating A Control Hook

Recommended Posts

Just wondering if this is possible in autoit, I have a control (edit box) in another application (not created by autoit). Is there a way to create a windows hook some how so that when text appears in the edit box a trigger is activated (a function I wrote).

I know I could use a loop checking the text, then call the function each time the text is different, i thought there might be a better way.

Any ideas?

Thanks.

I'd say the loop or AdlibEnable() would be your best bet there.

Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer.
