String manipulation - please help

Recommended Posts

Hi everybody,

Is is possible within AutoIT to create a string which has a dynamic name ?

Let me explain with a piece of PHP code :)

<?PHP

$test = "name";
${$test} = "foobar";

echo $name;

/* $name should contain foobar */

?>

Thanks in advance!

Like this (Needs Beta)?
$test = 'name'
Assign($test, 'foobar', 2)

MsgBox(0, '', $name)

Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer.
