fhanna
I know how to do a stringinstr and know how to work with arrays. What I don't know is the following: I want to search a string (stringinstr) for a variable of more than 1 character. I would like to know the position of the string the first character of the search data occupies. When I do a stringsplit I will then know the first element the search data occupies within the array. Any ideas? Your help would be appreciated.

fhanna
Found my answer. Should have looked at stringinstr more closely. If the string you are searching for is a success the starting position of the searched string is returned.
