Windows System Logs

Recommended Posts

Quick question, and did could not find a function, topic, hint on how to use AutoIT V3 to make an entry within the windows system logs. Any suggestions on how to do this?

"Within Windows system logs" is a very general place, maybe we can help if you were to be more specific

Why would you need to do this anyway?

I took this to mean the "System" tree of the Windows "Event Viewer"

Take a look at this post: http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/index.ph...ndpost&p=140609

You are welcome - if that post does not work for you, then search to forum for "event log" - there will be several more posts to pick from. There might even be a WMI solution that came gather and log more info, but the post that I mentioned is one line of code - if you want it to be.
