ScreenShot save without DLL

This is my first shot at a screen shot prog. Windows is required.

One of the bugs is that it freezes if the folder already has an "image1.bmp"

It operates by taking a screen shot to the clipboard, opening paint and pasting it, then saving it

Source included.

(i know it sucks but it's my first real try)

EDIT: oops. forgot to include source! fixed

There are some few problems with this:

1: If anybody click the mouse or press some few buttons on the keyboard it wouldnt work all time.

2:If your OS languange are other than english then it would simple wait all the time.

3:If you play a game you can but i dont think that it is so good to do that

If it helps you gain experience then do it. I'm in no way trying to make you look bad. I was like you once. Keep trying and one day you'll understand AutoIt really well. :D

I was like you once.

You were a woman? :D

:P J/K... I couldn't resist!!

P.S. - codemyster may not even be a female... :D

Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer.

  • 3 weeks later...

hey codemyster, cool idea...

send("!{printscreen}")
run("mspaint.exe")
ProcessWait ("mspaint.exe", 10)
ControlSend("untitled - Paint","","","^v")
ControlSend("untitled - Paint","","","^s")
WinWaitActive("Save As")
ControlSend("Save As","","","{enter}")
ControlSend("Save As","","","y")
ProcessClose("mspaint.exe")

This may work a bit better for speed and such...maybe you can work on it from here.

It's always a bit stetchy to use sleep() when it take different amouts of time for differnt computers.
