Ever done a fresh install of scite and abbreviations empty?

Recommended Posts

I was just trying to use the Ctrl+B to use an abbreviation and it didn't work..

I investigated..

Options ---> Open Abbreviations File

It's empty except for the standard

#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#

Created by UpdateDefs (don't change anything between the dashed lines)

#------------------------------------------------------------

#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#-#

I uninstalled everything, deleted all directories and installed the latest and greatest.. Still empty.

Anyone else had this issue or is the abbreviations file only for abbreviations that you create for yourself?

Thanks!!

UpdateDefs program, which is run at the end of the installer, will open the user's abbrev.properties and add the file @ScriptDir & '\Production\au3abbrev.properties' or @ScriptDir & '\Unstable\au3abbrev.properties' contents between the shown lines.

I need more info about you setup to understand why it goes wrong.
