Guest dpiatt
I am using AutoIT3 to check for patches being applied and I need to verify file versions. I have two files that need to be updated. On the Windows 95 test machine, the versions for both files are being reported as "4.0.0.950" which is the version for Windows. Using the Properties for the file, it is reflected correctly, though AutoIT3 does not see it. The Windows XP machine seems to be working correctly. Nutster
What mechanism are you using to get the file version? Guest dpiatt
I am using the FileGetVersion command. I have developed a work-around (using file size), and have also found the GetFileVersion to work fine for other files, so I assume it to be an anomaly for these files/vendor. The files are for CA etrust drivers. As I said, I have a work-around, so there is no real need to pursue unless you want to.
