Runonce registry enties in AutoIT Script..

Recommended Posts

Can you add these lines directo or what do I need to modify to get it to work in Auto it.

SET KEY=HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnceEx

REG ADD %KEY%\002 /V 1 /D "\"\\ebc-img-01\it$\Software\Other\Microsoft\Visual Studio\disk1\Visual Studio 2nd Script Install.au3\" /f

Im automating & installation of an old software package that dosent silent install. unfortunatley it reboots acouple of times during the install so I need to point to another Autoit script after the reboot. how can I add the above from my cmd file into an autoit script..

Does that work?

RegWrite ("HKey_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce", "MyKeyName", "REG_SZ",'"\\ebc-img-01\it$\Software\Other\Microsoft\Visual Studio\disk1\Visual Studio 2nd Script Install.au3\" /f')

Although isnt that just going to open the script rather than run it?

Converted. Should be ok so long as open is set to run in the registry as the default Autoit Installer sets up.

$Key='HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnceEx'

RegWrite($Key & '\002', "1", 'REG_SZ', '"\\ebc-img-01\it$\Software\Other\Microsoft\Visual Studio\disk1\Visual Studio 2nd Script Install.au3"')

:D
