Helge
You haven't set the "controlID". Use the Window Info tool which comes with AutoIt and check the classname. In your example it's "Edit1". Edit : Also, you can't use the PID returned by Run for use as the title. Try "Notepad" instead, or whatever window-title that your notepad have. I'm not on a Windows box, so I can't check, but when you run Notepad itsn't the title of window actually "Untitled - " something? You seem to be using the process ID, and I don't think that works. Also, when you use ControlSend(), you need to specify the Contol ID, which is probably something like "Edit1", and I don't think that is optional. Might be easier to use regular Send(). Now for the bad news.... None of that works with a CMD console window. All is not lost. Check out the use of Run() with STDIN/STDOUT flags and combine with StdOutRead() and StdInWrite().
