You are not using a .ico file. Download the .png file to your computer and find some software to convert it to a .ico file.

If you are refering to the answer that I gave the answer would be Irfanview which is free. It can be downloaded from www.irfanview.com.

In the autoit folder, there is a folder called Icons, just replace the one that looks like the one you want to replace with a different one and name it the same thing

Why the hell do that? In the helpfile it is described how to choose an icon.

Start "compile script to exe" in your Autoit folder.

No, actually it doesn't really make sense when all you need is resource hacker in your CompileAu3 folder.

Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer.

Hi,

1st I thought you want to set the icon of a script when you compile it to script.exe

2nd I thought you want to change the default icon of the scripts.au3

3rd after the last post of SmOke_N, I could be possible that you meant to change an icon of a script.exe

:whistle::):)

To choose the one i want do i just double click it?

What :whistle: ?

If your using SciTe choose your compile option from the Tools menu, and just click on the ... button that has the icon there, click the one you want, and compile with it. I can't remember if you need resource hacker for this but it's pretty self explanitory.

No, the comp takes those pics, and uses them as icons for a certain type of file, so you fool the computer by just switching the picture even though it's the same name and in the same spot

@Smoke_N

I don't think he wants to compile it...

he wants to change the Icon of his .au3 script i think
