Upload File Size Limit?

I am trying to upload a "zip" file ( i have done this many times before )

the file size is 847kb ( i have 1mb available )

per the error

The total filespace required to upload all the attached files is greater than your per post or global limit. Please reduce the number of attachments or the size of the attachments.

my controls state

Welcome to your control panel

Manage Your Attachments

You have used 0bytes of 1mb

0% 50% 100%

You have 0 attachments (0% used)

is this something new???

The text in the control panel says

GLOBAL: Max total global file space for all uploads (Inc. PMs and posts)

I don't think normal posts count against it (other wise most of us wouldn't be able to post anymore...)

i have uploaded this file before and it was "1" kb bigger

i still dont see the problem

I like the counter and i created Examiner to have the full 1mb of storage just for Welcome to Autoit 1-2-3

The max size of upload is 500k. I found this out a while back while trying to upload a large script.

ok... if thats true then there is a new "filter" because i had no problem before

( that was my original question ? something new?)
