Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer. Hollowpoint
Can you do something like that with a scheduled task, or can it only be copied? I'm going to look at their filetype tonight, but if anyone's scheduled tasks using autoit, tell me.
PsaltyDS
Can you do something like that with a scheduled task, or can it only be copied? I'm going to look at their filetype tonight, but if anyone's scheduled tasks using autoit, tell me.Did an install script recently that called for a scheduled task to be created with multiple schedule times. I never did figure that out, but just running SCHTASKS.EXE via RunWait() took care of business. To get multiple scheduling I just created a duplicate task for each schedule. Sort of a brute-force attack, but still better than scripting the Scheduled Tasks GUI, control-by-control, which was my other option... Valuater's AutoIt 1-2-3, Class... Hollowpoint
Thanks. You put the parameters for the SCHTASKS in the runwait, right (sorry, I'm a noob.)?
PsaltyDS
Thanks. You put the parameters for the SCHTASKS in the runwait, right (sorry, I'm a noob.)? That's the idea. RunWait() returns the %ErrorLevel% from the command after it runs: ; Change task logon account/password $ExtCmd = 'SCHTASKS /Change /tn MyTask /ru ' & @ComputerName & '\MyUser /rp ' & $MyPass $RetCode = RunWait($ExtCmd, @TempDir, @SW_MINIMIZE) If $RetCode = 0 Then MsgBox(64, "Success", "Successfully changed user/password for MyTask scheduled task.") Else MsgBox(16, "Error!", "Error occured while changing user/password for MyTask scheduled task.") EndIf Valuater's AutoIt 1-2-3, Class...
