Jordban
Hello, I've tried google and the forum search with no prevail. Has anyone found a solution to sending a key to a minimized window. Basically I have a window called "X" and I would like for my script to send the "s" key ever two seconds. The only part of this that's confusing me is how to send something to a minimized window without opening it first. I'm guessing this can't be done with auto-it alone, could we use some windows DLL or something? Thanks, Jordan
amanda089
I believe the answer you are looking for is controlsend(), though I might be wrong. I have not yet had an occasion where I needed to use this function.

If the window can't be automated because there isn't a classID then you can use WinActivate to send the text to that window.
