Hello autoit-Scripter,

first thx for autoit, it is a great tool.

i wrote a little script for IE, but on some PC the scirpt won´t work by "_IECreate($URL)".

On this PC you must first start an IE, on the other PC it works without start IE, any ideas?

thx

Hi,

try to recreate the problem and check the @error macro with e.g.

#include <IE.au3>
_IECreate ("www.autoitscript.com", 1)
If @error <> 0 Then MsgBox(16, "Error", @error)

Hi the @error is 1

help this?

ms_news

This means that ObjCreate("InternetExplorer.Application") is failing.

Suggest you try this in vb script:

set oIE = CreateObject("InternetExplorer.Application")
oIE.visible = 1

If this fails to create a blank IE window, then there are issues on the PC having nothing to do with AutoIt.

Doesn't work needs to be ripped out of the troubleshooting lexicon. It means that what you tried did not produce the results you expected. It begs the questions 1) what did you try?, 2) what did you expect? and 3) what happened instead?
