4gotn1 Posted October 31, 2006 Share Posted October 31, 2006 (edited) well, as you can read from the title, im building a custom internet explorer browser basically ( my first try at using COM objects, with or without autoit ^^ ) and i've got a pretty good start. But i have run into a problem that i can not seem to shake out and fix with $var.GoForward and $var.GoBack =( if the 'user' hasnt made a history (? array ?) then when they click the "back / forward" button i get this: C:Documents and SettingsHP_Owner.MAINDesktopBrowseIt.au3 (74) : ==> The requested action with this object has failed.: $InetExplorer.GoBack $InetExplorer.GoBack^ ERROR $InetExplorer obviously being the InetExplorer OBJ i created, and GoBack being the COM event initiated by the user pushing the "Back" button... so i guess my question is this, can anyone point me in the right direction of solving the fatal error(s), i've searched the forums but i don't really know what "keywords" to use =P and with this specific COM the help file is of no help =( anyways if ya can or can't thanx for atleast reading =) -edit- Typos / added .au3 fileBrowseIt.au3 Edited October 31, 2006 by 4gotn1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

It means that what you tried did not produce the results you expected. It begs the questions 1) what did you try?, 2) what did you expect? and 3) what happened instead?
