Get/Change Title on a started script

Recommended Posts

I start a script compiled as a .exe

I want to make sure it isn't already running. The FAQ says the best way is to change the title of the hidden autoit window when the script first starts. How do I do this? I.E. what is the title of this hidden window or how do I reference it to change it's title so I can check to see if I already have a running copy.

Did you read the entire answer to that question?  There is example code in it which clearly demonstrates how to do it.

Paint me red and beat me with a stick... Yes it's there. I'm fairly new to autoit as you may have guessed.

Don't worry

There's just a lot of folks who ask first. I do that sometimes myself, but experience dictates if you direct someone to the section in the help file you get the same effect as teaching them to fish.
