I want to try my hand at building a plugin for AutoIt, and I was wondering if anyone out there knew of any simple, small, preferably open source 3D graphics engines?

Not sure what they use but try this link...it is from sourceforge. It is the remake of that cool old game scorch. It is also free and it kicks too. There might be some open source 3d stuff there or at least check out sourceforge.

Hmm, not quite what I was looking for. I gave up on sourceforge about an hour, side from most of the possible matches leading to dead projects, most non-dead links led to either fullout game engines or high level rendering packages.

I Figure a wireframe display with ultra simple, fixed camera, mouse based rotation is what I'm looking for.

Anyway, I'm still looking, if anyone's seen anything extremely small, written in c/c++ , please let me know ;)

Small as in less than a MB small, basic setup with no hassle~

(yes, I like the bubble I live in.)

You should be able to find what you are looking for here http://cg.cs.tu-berlin.de/~ki/engines.html or here http://gpwiki.org/index.php/Game_Engines

Cheers
