Finding exit code of a run executable

How would i retrieve a program's exit code if i run it with autoit? I can't find anything about it in the forums.

I searched "exit code" in the help file and got this

I always use

$A = RunWait('whatever.exe')

MsgBox(4096,"Test",$A)

Also works with ShellExecuteWait()
