basic control command question

Recommended Posts

I haven't programmed since I was programing Basic when I was around 10 years old and I just started trying to use Autoit today. My apologies for what I'm sure is a very basic question.

Basically I'm trying to develop a program and the first part of the program is to open a browser and type in a URL. I've figured out how to open the browser and type the URL but I don't understand how to get the cursor to go to the web address box in the browser. I have the controlID for the box but I just don't understand what comand I need to use to make the cursor go there.

Thanks.

You could always use the MouseMove command.

Example:

MouseMove ( 345, 255, 0)

The first number is the X position, the second is the Y position, and the third is the speed of the move (0 being fastest speed possible)

HEY awesome! I just wrote my first program, or mini-program or whatever. I used the movemouse command with the MouseClick("left") comand and it worked! Thanks!
