Achilles
Is it possible to make your own? Some folder directories have paths that can be accessed through regedit (HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion)... I was wondering if it would be possible to make my own macro for the Quick Launch folder. And that brings up another question: Is this @AppDataDir & "\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Quick Launch" a common directory for Quick Launch? theguy0000
Would assigning it to a $var be the same thing?I think he wants to make it a macro, so that he can use it in any script without declaring it or using includes. Just like real macros. If that's what you're after, I don't think you'll get it. xcal
Ahhh ok, I see. I wonder if making it a system variable and turning on ExpandEnvStrings would be a solution? (edit - For personal use only, of course.) Edited January 29, 2007 by xcal How To Ask Questions The Smart Way
improbability_paradox
if there is an environment variable pointing to that folder, you can use EnvGet(). if there isn't, you can create one. I don't know what registry keys would need to be created, or where for that matter, but I'm certain that you can find that out easily enough by searching the internet.
