Vindicator209
Hello, I was wonder how I would go about searching an entire directory for all of its files? I made a GUI that would(soon) list all of the files in a directory for a user to veiw. Also, I was wondering if it would also be able to search an FTP server directory(updates) Thanks! ~MethodZero "When you look at old, classic games like Snake, you often put it off because it's such a simple game, but it's only when you actually try and create your own unique game from scratch, do you finally appreciate those games."Don't ask for answers if you haven't TRIED yet! Most answers can be answered in the help file! xcal
You could do something like this for searching for files in sub folders: $path = 'c:\windows\' ; include the trailing \ $output = Run(@ComSpec & " /c " & 'dir ' & '"' & $path & '' & '*.*" /b /s', '', @SW_HIDE, 2) While 1 $write = StdoutRead($output) If @error Then ExitLoop ConsoleWrite($write) Wend Edited February 28, 2007 by xcal How To Ask Questions The Smart Way
