nitekram Posted March 18, 2007 Share Posted March 18, 2007 Can the settings be set for tidy to allow how you want to name/keep backups - there seems to be a new version that puts the files in a backup directory and the overwrites the next day. I would like to add the date stamp directory as well. This may have been fixed, and I just thought about it again today, as there are some files that I would like to keep different versions of. 2¢ All by me:"Sometimes you have to go back to where you started, to get to where you want to go." No relation to Date or anything:Was that changed when the sub directory was added - before the files were just renamed with a number at the end and in the same directory that the file was being tidied with - unlimited number?. What I was asking for, is what you gave me. I just wanted to keep more versions of the file, and did not know where to look. Thanks for your help.Nothing was changed to the logic of the backup filenames as far as I remember..... In the beginning there was not a limitation option and all backups were kept... but this option has been available for a while doh ...
