Decompile AU3?

Recommended Posts

How come I can't retrieve my source code? I still have the EXE, and I distinctly remember it was compiled without a passphrase but it keeps telling me its wrong...how come? errr...or is there anyway to retieve deleted files(not recycling bin)?

edit: oops? the title says AU3 I mean EXE

Go to your autoit folder. Find Extras and in there you should see a folder called Exe2Aut. Thats the program to decompile a exe (Note: Only if it was a .au3 script and if you checked "allow decompile" when you compiled it).

Depending on the date that you compiled it, then it may need the Exe2Aut from that time period. Aut2Exe was updated last year with a different encryption so you may need the earlier Exe2Aut to decompile your script.

Well, I dont know about that, but I did compile it ages ago, I compiled it without a passpharse (but with the passphrase checked) so I wouldn't need to remember one but now it wont decompile....

So did trying an exe2aut from the eons ago that you compiled the script help? Here are two links to pages with old versions. Maybe you'll have more luck there?
