Lost Desktop

Recommended Posts

I'm just guessing :

Open regedit and search for

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Shell Folders\

By default "Desktop (REG_SZ) " should be "C:\Documents and Settings\your_login\Desktop"

replacing your_login with your login (seems logic)

Is this the case ?

Best regards,

Peter

Yes that's what I was looking for.. I tried googling it but it didn't give me the shell folders path... Thanks a lot!

@fear1313: I moved my desktop folder just to see if I could... and then wondered where the reg entry was just out of curiosity
