What is IE.au3 basically all about(I know it's a dumb question)

Recommended Posts

I've looked through the documentation and have been looking at the help files all morning and have searched the forums. I see examples of IE.au3 being used but I can't get it to register.

Is it simply a class that makes working with windows easier? I'm sorry, I'm one of those people that can't get a concept down and use it until I know it from top to bottom. I'm just now learning c++ as my first programming language since high school (20 yrs ago) and I'm trying to learn Autoit also. I've got a pretty good understanding of alot of Autoit but, I think I must be starting somewhere in the middle with IE.au3.

I'd appreciate anyone's help in pointing me in the right direction. Thanks.

Also, make sure you take a look at the _IE_Introduction() function -- it brings up information that attempts to set context.

Doesn't work needs to be ripped out of the troubleshooting lexicon. It means that what you tried did not produce the results you expected. It begs the questions 1) what did you try?, 2) what did you expect? and 3) what happened instead?

Reproducer: a small (the smallest?) piece of stand-alone code that demonstrates your trouble
