Index.dat reader

I would like to write a script that reads the contents of the index.dat for temporary internet files and translates into a readable file that I can analyse. If you open this file via notepad there is loads of binary etc that makes it very difficult to read - Can AutoIt achieve such a task..

Without info, I don't believe that you'll achieve much.

I recomend to Google for some external utilities that can make BIN --> TXT conversion for you.

Yep - Look at any index.dat in a users profile on XP

c:\documents and settings\profile#\local settings\temporary internet files\content.ie5\index.dat

you can modify the index.dat section to make it possible to write it to a text file
