Suzuran
I want to create a simple program that connects to Yahoo or Windows Live Messenger. Basically, I want to reproduce those IM but make it much more simple ( just for chat). I've got some questions...I'll just ask them here. First, I'm not sure how to get the IP to connect to one of those 2 services (Yahoo/ MSN). Any help, please?
lod3n
What you are asking is theoretically possible. However, it's going to be REALLY REALLY HARD. While you're working out all of the TCP commands required to make this work, and learning the ins and outs of these two proprietary communications standards, you might go take a look at Pidgin.http://www.pidgin.im/Pidgin already does what you're trying to do, and it's done and in use by lots of people. There are other things out there like this too.
