_IEAttach, _IEStatus_NoMatch problem

Recommended Posts

Hi,

Am a newbie to AutoIt. Am trying to attach an existing Internet Explorer window to my handle, but am not able to do so. Am able to connect to all the other windows, but not this one. I always get a "_IEStatus_NoMatch" error. FYI, this is a remote login and I got into this url through CITRIX. The CITRIX symbol("ica") is embedded into the icon of Internet Explorer for this particular window alone.

I donot know if that is the reason, the Autoit is not able to recognize this as a IE window. Please let me know what can be done about this.

$oIETimeSheets = _IEAttach ("Workload","Title")

MsgBox(1, "$error", @error)

I always get a "7" in the above MsgBox. Am using Autoit v3.2.4.9.

Thanks,

Ramesh

As far as your local machine is concerned (where AutoIt is running) the window is a Citrix window and not an IE window. If you can figure out how to run AutoIt on the same machine and user context as the remote IE browser you might have a chance.

Doesn't work needs to be ripped out of the troubleshooting lexicon. It means that what you tried did not produce the results you expected. It begs the questions 1) what did you try?, 2) what did you expect? and 3) what happened instead?

Reproducer: a small (the smallest?) piece of stand-alone code that demonstrates your trouble
