GEOSoft
I just made a minoe change to the messagebox text of an app. I forgot to close the quotes on the new string and when I attempted a recompile using Project Express I got a standard AutoIt error MsgBox notifying me of the error. When did AutoIt start doing a syntax chek during the compile? Don't get me wrong, I like it. As a matter of fact I'm going to add code to PX that will let me exploit this feature. I'm just curious about what version it started in. George Question about decompiling code? GEOSoft
Does no one know the answer? Either AutoIt checks syntax at compile time now OR I've done something terribly right in PX and that's doubtful. George Question about decompiling code? GEOSoft
Some checking, like proper String termination, has always been in the compile process to my knowledge ....Thanks for that info. I guess that I just never had that show up before. As far as I'm concerned that is a much better time to error check than checking the compiled file at run time.
