Create AD security groups based on Directory Name

Recommended Posts

HI Everyone.

I am novice at Autoit and have done some things with it which are simple comapred to what I need to do now.

I Have a very large file structure and we are tiding up security.

We want to be able to go down the structure from a base share on windows 2003 and create security groups in Active directory based on group names with the correct security rights..

Help !!!!

The File structure looks like

<BASE SHare>

|----------<Common Directory Name>

|-----<Department>

|-------------------<subfolders>

IE :Data---Division--Finance---Mgrs

So the security group naming structure would be "RES-<site Name>-Finance"

On top of that I need to apply Block Heritance from above and apply "Modify rights" at the "finance" level and let that flow down.

ANy help is very much appreciated.

Cheers

Steve
