hi, i was reading the help file about using buttons in a GUI but it doesnt really go into detail regarding how the information from a button click is sent.

Could someone explain to me how i can register a button press to open a new GUI window?

Im not quite sure where i store the information for the 2nd window either

Here's how:

#include <GUIConstants.au3>

$Form1 = GUICreate ("Title", 400, 500)

$Buttton1 = GUICtrlCreateButton ("Button1", 100, 100, 75, 30)

While 1
$msg = GUIGetMsg

Switch $msg
       Case $Button1
               $Form2 = GUICreate("Title2", 400, 500)
endSwitch
