FileDelete WONT filedelete

Recommended Posts

Hi,

depends whether you arite to the txt file with iniFuncs then no, Filewrite then yes.

That isn't true at all times either. If the file doesn't exist then you don't have to use FileOpen() for either FileWrite() OR FileWriteLine And if the file is to be appended to then you don't have to open it either

If FileExists($File) Then FileDelete($File)

FileWrite($File,"My Data") ;; Creates $File with the new data

OR

FileWrite($File, "My Data) ;; since the file was not deleted then the new data will be appended.

Both will work just fine. I rarely use file open unless it's going to be a big file using a lot of FileWriteLine() calls. Then I Use $O_File = FileOpen($File, "Flag") just because it's faster using a handle.
