martin
I have been given examples of code using DllCall, ussually calling user32.dll. Is there a guide or tutorial on this DLL?Basically i want to learn what i can do with it and i don't know where to start.Thanks.On the understanding that I am no expert, read on..I don't think you'll find a much better start than the help file.Look up DllCall. Try to understand it. It refers to user32.dll and it uses a function GetWindowText. Google "GetWindowText function" and follow the link to msdn2.microsoft.... and it will explain the function and how to use it. Then you can see why the example does what it does. You need to understand DllStructCreate and related functions in Autoit. A lot of UDF's and include files use dll calls so there is no shortage of examples.Best of luck! Serial port communications UDF Includes functions for binary transmission and reception.printing UDF Useful for graphs, forms, labels, reports etc.Add User Call Tips to SciTE for functions in UDFs not included with AutoIt and for your own scripts.Functions with parameters in OnEvent mode and for Hot Keys One function replaces GuiSetOnEvent, GuiCtrlSetOnEvent and HotKeySet.UDF IsConnected2 for notification of status of connected state of many urls or IPs, without slowing the script. Moderators SmOke_N Posted July 3, 2007 Moderators Share Posted July 3, 2007 After reading the DLLCall() documentation that martin has talked about above:http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=7072Download PaulIA's Au3Library, there you will see a ton of DLL calls that he's taken the time to do himself:http://www.autoitscript.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=33677 Common sense plays a role in the basics of understanding AutoIt... If you're lacking in that, do us all a favor, and step away from the computer.
