Timed tooltip

5 posts in this topic

I need to have a tool tip appear for 3 seconds, but I also need to have my script do stuff in the mean time.

How can i do this?

"Its not about the 30 inch 1080p display, or the SLI 8800 ultras, or the DDR3 memory. It's about when you turn on your PC, does it return the favor?"Math is like sex. Sure, it may give some practical results, but that is not why we do it

Have your main script create/launch a child script.

The child scripts generates the ToolTip and then ends or loops or whatever.

You can use Adlib in the main script to gen the child/tooltip if need be.

Search the help file for AutoIt3ExecuteLine.

Alright, I will look into it.

I just need to use variables from my script in the tooltip.

you could make a temporary ini storing the variables and then delete it when the tooltip is done.

Or if the second scrip is compiled then pass them as parameters to $CmdLine
