$price is a variable that i get it from a gui (something like $pret = GUICtrlRead ($Input_3) )

i get an error like $var = _Query($sql,"SELECT cod FROM produse WHERE cantitate ="$pret

can you tell me what i am doing wrong?

Bad quotes around the variable. Try:

$sQuery = "SELECT cod FROM produse WHERE cantitate ='" & $price & "'"
ConsoleWrite("Debug: Query string = " & $sQuery & @LF)
$var = _Query($sql, $sQuery)
