this code get the 1st colum value in the listview but if I click on the scroll bar i retrive the selection...

can I retrive the selection only if I click on the listview and not on the scrollbar?

You would have to be more specific about the mouse location for your position check. Better to just use a SELECT button, since it may take the operator multiple clicks any way to select what they want (especially if multiple selection was allowed):

another option would be notify events, the following is from my scraps, so you would need to modify it to fit your needs
