mouse move without specific pixels

Recommended Posts

Im trying to make a script which will right click anywhere on the desktop and scroll down from that position... hard to xplain

For Example if some could tell me how to search my desktop for a specific pixel, click it and mousemove down to properties on my desktop. But because the pixel could be anywhere the menu that pops up on the desktop the coords will always be different. So i want to know how to move the mouse from that position to the properties button. is there anyway to do this. like some - y axis -y axis etc. plz answer ty.

PixelSearch() to find it, and MouseMove() from the coordinates returned by PixelSearch.

But the better use of AutoIt's capabilities is to access the Menu, Combo or List Control directly and automate that. You should only resort to pixels and mouse stuff if the pop up is a custom form that has no scriptable interface.

Can you provide an example of the pop up menu you are dealing with? What program is it from? Have you checked it out with AutoIt's Window Info tool to see if it has identifiable controls in it?
