WHY CANT OTHER PEOPLE WITHOUT AUTOIT RUN MY .EXE?

IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO EXCEPT TELL THEM TO INSTALL IT??

OMFG

The compiled .exe does not in any way need AutoIt to be installed for it to function. The problem more than likely is something in your code is causing a problem or they are using an incompatible OS (don't think there's an AutoIt for Mac).

Agreement is not necessary - thinking for one's self is!

If you used the CDTray() function then your problem could be the drive letter.

From the help file

CDTray ( "drive", "status" )

Try

$Cd = DriveGetDrive ( "CDROM" )
If CDTray($Cd[1], "Open") Then
MsgBox(0,'CD Test', 'The tray should be open')
Else
   MsgBox(0, 'Oooops!', "Houston....We have a problem")
EndIf

Or there could be a problem on the computer or with the drive.

Maybe the computer doesn't have a CDRom drive. :P That would normally cause a code failure.

Maybe I should have used

$Cd = DriveGetDrive ( "CDROM" )
If @Error Then
MsgBox(0, "Critical Failure", "An important piece of equipment is missing" & @CRLF & _
"Code execution is aborted")
   Exit
Else
   If CDTray($Cd[1], "Open") Then
MsgBox(0,'CD Test', 'The tray should be open')
   Else
      MsgBox(0, 'Oooops!', "Houston....We have a problem")
   EndIf
EndIf
