Using IE.au3 to script an applet

Hi folks. I'm trying to use AutoIT to script a download from a web site which uses an applet to configure the download options. I'd like to use IE.au3 to help with the scripting to make it less brittle and reliant on screen resolution and geometry, but I can't figure out how I should issue a mouse click to the applet. I can get a reference to the frame containing the applet, indeed, I could get a reference to the applet element proper, but I can't figure out how to issue mouse clicks to coordinates within the applet. Any suggestions for me?

_IEPropertyGet can be used to get the screen or browser-based coordinates for the applet. There is an example in the helpfile that should get you started.

Free Internet Tools: DebugBar, AutoIt IE Builder, HTTP UDF, MODIV2, IE Developer Toolbar, IEDocMon, Fiddler, HTML Validator, WGet, curl

MSDN docs: InternetExplorer Object, Document Object, Overviews and Tutorials, DHTML Objects, DHTML Events, WinHttpRequest, XmlHttpRequest, Cross-Frame Scripting, Office object model

Automate input type=file (Related)

Alternative to _IECreateEmbedded? better: _IECreatePseudoEmbedded  Better Better?

IE.au3 issues with Vista - Workarounds

SciTe Debug mode - it's magic: #AutoIt3Wrapper_run_debug_mode=Y

Doesn't work needs to be ripped out of the troubleshooting lexicon. It means that what you tried did not produce the results you expected. It begs the questions 1) what did you try?, 2) what did you expect? and 3) what happened instead?

Reproducer: a small (the smallest?) piece of stand-alone code that demonstrates your trouble

Thanks, that works like a champ. Just one more quick question, if you don't mind - I don't see an obvious way to open Internet Explorer maximized, so that I don't have to worry about scrolling the applet frame. Any pointers?

_IEPropertyGet can give you an HWND you can pass to WinSetState to make it maximized. _IEPropertySet also allows you to put the browser into "theatermode".
