Valik
Well, I don't know what the error is since you didn't post it, but try installing .NET 3.5 stand-alone (poke around on Microsoft's site for the download link). If you can get .NET 3.5 installed correctly, then try again with VS2008.
jpam
also tryed the stand allone version of .net 3.5 same error
Valik
You'll need to click the "What data does this report contain" link and see if there's an error code or more useful information there to diagnose why the .NET Framework won't install. LarryDalooza
Looks like it is having a .NET 2.0 problem... Some things to check... Invalid "My Documents" folder specified in registry or "My Documents" pointing to a network folder can cause 1603... Install from Subst drive can cause 1603... Try to clean up the .NET 2.0 install and install 2.0 fresh... then try 3.0... then 3.5 Lar. AutoIt has helped make me wealthy
LarryDalooza
a similar problem was answered like this... "Ok. The problem appeared to be with having the CommonProgramFiles environment variable pointing to a nonexistent P: drive. I fixed it in the registry and now it seems to be installing correctly." so... check for invalid ENV VARS Lar.
