Well, I don't know what the error is since you didn't post it, but try installing .NET 3.5 stand-alone (poke around on Microsoft's site for the download link). If you can get .NET 3.5 installed correctly, then try again with VS2008.

well i tryed everything

used the cleanup tool microsoft provided for early installs

stand allone version of .net 3.5

dvd install

web install

i'am stuck, mybe i have to wait microsoft has a fix for it

i read on the forums lot of people have this install problems

Looks like it is having a .NET 2.0 problem... Some things to check...

Invalid "My Documents" folder specified in registry or "My Documents" pointing to a network folder can cause 1603...

Install from Subst drive can cause 1603...

Try to clean up the .NET 2.0 install and install 2.0 fresh... then try 3.0... then 3.5

a similar problem was answered like this...

"Ok. The problem appeared to be with having the CommonProgramFiles environment variable pointing to a nonexistent P: drive. I fixed it in the registry and now it seems to be installing correctly."

so... check for invalid ENV VARS
