How to close window without killing it?

Hi,

My problem is this: When i restart/shutdown Windows (i mean the OS), all my opened windows is closed by "themselfs", even those one ho have a confirm popup message box, for example Opera Browser, if i close it, i get message box that ask me if i really want to exit (i set an options this way), but when i restart/shutdown Windows, this message box not shown...

So, what i am asking is, how can i close windows the same as OS Windows does?

I tried DllCalls...

But it's the same as WinClose() - is it possible to close windows and suppress the confirming messages? And not only in Opera's case, i want to able cloe any window like this..

No, the message popups twice, it seems that WinKill make a two WinClose() attempts

It must depend on the app. It kills Notepad just fine - even if the text has not been saved. Would ProcessClose be to "rude"?

Edit: or is that what you meant by "without killing it"?

But when Windos is reboots/shutdown, it close all windows, i not believe that there is some kind of database that hold in it methods to close certain app
