Jon, I was wondering if you could release a static AutoIt 3 library, would reduce the hassle of including the dll.

Jon, I was wondering if you could release a static AutoIt 3 library, would reduce the hassle of including the dll.

I've not decided yet, I've merged the COM and normal DLL into a single dll file and it might make making a static version a bit tricky. Also as the license will be LGPL you won't _have_ to acknowledge the use of Autoit in your commerical apps (unlike v2). On the other hand the source will be available so it will be a largely theoretical point.

in summary, while its still in beta i'm leaving it as it is but may change it to include a static version when released.

Did you use DLL to Lib by chance? I've been trying to create a static library with no success....
