Activating scripts from within remote desktop

 Share

Recommended Posts

I would like to write a script on my local machine that performs some simple tasks like

mouse clicks etc. However, I need to attach this script to a hotkey that is pressed

from within a remote desktop session. I have tried writing a simple script and this does

not seem to be working the same as it works on my local desktop.

Is there any way to make this work???

Thanks very much!!

Clarification: I am working on my local machine and am remoting into another computer via remote desktop. The problem is

that the keystrokes I press are being passed to the remote computer instead of my local machine (which is the whole point of

remote desktop, I know). However, I would like to reserve a particular hotkey to launch the script on my local machine instead of being

passed to the remote machine.

Clear as mud right......
