Easy question

FileOpen ($output & "\" & $filename & ".au3", 1)

FileWriteLine ($output & "\" & $filename & ".au3", "$ip = _GetIP()" & @CRLF)
FileWriteLine ($output & "\" & $filename & ".au3", "Sleep (5000)" & @CRLF)
FileWriteLine ($output & "\" & $filename & ".au3", "WinActivate (" & $name & " - Coversation)" & @CRLF)

This works fine, But I want to be able to write actual quotations in the file.

The file line I am getting written now is considering my name is Ben

WinActivate (Ben - Coversation)

I want it to write

WinActivate ("Ben - Coversation")

Simple question, just never come around to use it before.

Hi,

First of all, when you open the file, you need to use the returned handle, and also you need to close the file, due to conflicts with other applications.

If you want to write " characters, you just wrap the string with single qoute chars ( ' )...

$hFile = FileOpen ($output & "\" & $filename & ".au3", 1)

FileWriteLine ($hFile, "$ip = _GetIP()" & @CRLF)
FileWriteLine ($hFile, "Sleep (5000)" & @CRLF)
FileWriteLine ($hFile, 'WinActivate ("' & $name & ' - Coversation")' & @CRLF)

FileClose($hFile)
