StringRegExp help please

Yea, sorry to be posting this. I guess i just don't understand it enough but here goes

$string = StringRegExp("[11:28:57] [Pos: X:974 Y:57] [Color: 0x98BEFC] [CPU1:5%] [CPU2:15%]", '([:alnum]{1,6})(?:] [cpu1)', 1)
If @error == 0 Then
    MsgBox(0, "works", $string[0])
EndIf

Most of this is from the example 6, just edited. but it doesnt work and i have tried for a while :/

Im trying to get data from lines like that. Like the color, Pos X, and Pos y, cpu usage, etc.

I am not sure what you are need on output, but you can try this one:

$aString = StringRegExp("[11:28:57] [Pos: X:974 Y:57] [Color: 0x98BEFC] [CPU1:5%] [CPU2:15%]", '(?i)\[(.*?)[:|\]]*(.*?)[:|\]]*(.*?)\]', 3)
If Not @error Then _ArrayDisplay($aString)

    $Tmp = StringRegExp($aString[2],': ?(0x[0-9ABCDEF]+)+',3)

These links should help you learn more about the wonderful world of regular expressions

The first two are from AutoIt online help

I would also highly recommend having a look at the third link. I think it has some very clear and helpful tutorials on regular expression and explains some of the differences between different implementations of regular expression engines. BTW Autoit's StringRegexp is based on the PCRE engine
