read window without gaining focus

I'm making IE windows that are hidden, reading the HTML, then closing them. My problem is when I read the HTML, the hidden IE window gains focus. How can I read the HTML code in the IE window without the focus switching to that window?

The following is in a loop, depending on how many IE windows I need to open.

$ie1 = _IECreate($links[$w], 0, 0, 1,-1)
$read = _IEBodyReadHTML($ie1)
$readX = _IEBodyReadText($ie1)
$oLinks2 = _IELinkGetCollection($IE1)
For $oLink2 In $oLinks2
   _ArrayAdd($Array2, _IEPropertyGet($oLink2, "innertext"))
  _ArrayAdd($links2, $oLink2.href)

Try sandwiching your code using the following (undocumented) function, which is internally used by _IECreate:

__IELockSetForegroundWindow($LSFW_LOCK)

; your code

__IELockSetForegroundWindow($LSFW_UNLOCK)

Doesn't work needs to be ripped out of the troubleshooting lexicon. It means that what you tried did not produce the results you expected. It begs the questions 1) what did you try?, 2) what did you expect? and 3) what happened instead?

Reproducer: a small (the smallest?) piece of stand-alone code that demonstrates your trouble
