I used autoit 1 2 3 to install scite and the autoit beta. However since then I noticed some weird things in my ms office:

Event Details:

Actor: C:\PROGRAM FILES\MICROSOFT OFFICE\OFFICE11\WINWORD.EXE (PID=2372)

Target: \REGISTRY\MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Symantec\Common Client\ccService\Channels\

Action: Unauthorized access

Reaction: Unauthorized access stopped

and that since the date I installed scite till now... and then like 20 times a day. This could be unrelated though...

However! I just wanted to send a file and then I got a worm removed message:

Source: G:\SciTE4AutoIt3.exe

Risk category: Virus

Overall Risk Impact: High

Performance: 1

Privacy: 1201868453

Click for more information about this risk : W32.SillyFDC

Action taken: Fully removed

Apperantly scite contained a worm...

Same thing happened to me this morning. Was greeted with a message saying that Scite4AutoIt3.exe contained w32.sillyfdc and was quarantined. Haven't dug too deeply into it yet, as this is the first hit when I googled it. I had just updated last week. I'll let you know if I find out anything more.

AutoIt files get flagged as viruses all the time. It is just false positives.

AutoIt Scripts:Aimbot: Proof of Concept - PixelSearching Aimbot with several search/autoshoot/lock-on techniques.Sliding Toolbar - Add a nice Sliding Toolbar to your next script. Click the link to see an animation of it in action!FontInfo UDF - Get list of system fonts, or search to see if a particular font is installed.Get Extended Property UDF - Retrieve a files extended properties (e.g., video/image dimensions, file version, bitrate of song/video, etc)
